Join Kenny Smith and Jake Workman in Mulberry, TN for a two day guitar workshop April, 17-18 2026. We will only offer 40 spots for this unique intimate experience. The fee for the two day workshop is $900.00 and includes breakfast, a light lunch and a BBQ dinner by our favorite award winning Byron Chism of Bad Byron’s Butt Rub. The retreat will be held at Byron’s beautiful southern Tennessee property, The Butt Ranch BBQ Theme Park in Mulberry, TN near Lynchburg. The Nashville International Airport (BNA) is 77 miles. Just 8 miles away, in Fayetteville, there are many lodging options.

Jake Workman in 2015 got the call from Ricky Skaggs to join his award-winning band, Kentucky Thunder. He has a degree in Jazz guitar performance from the University of Utah. When not performing, he teaches private lessons, composes and does session work. His 2019 record, Landmark, showcases his writing ability as well as his seasoned playing. 2020 he was awarded the IBMA Bluegrass Guitar Player of the Year.

Non refundable $250.00 deposit due at registration.

Remainder of fee for retreat due 60 days before retreat.

If you pay the entire balance at registration and need to cancel we will refund the $650.00 to you as long as the date is 60 days before the retreat.
