In this lesson we learn one of the prettiest melodies ever written. We will study round one (A and B parts) of this arrangement. Overlapping tones makes this tune challenging and fun to learn.

I have a special place in my heart for this tune. It was the first tune I learned how to connect the eighth notes to make my playing sound authentic.  This is a bouncy fiddle tune that has plenty of embellishments. The B part is especially challenging because of the long string of eighth notes.

This version of Cripple Creek we add notes to the A part but still reinforce the melody. we also learn a snappy and bouncy B part.

Cripple Creek 1 is a classic tune that you rarely hear anymore. We are going to learn 3 different versions of this tune. This version is the basic melody which includes double stops.
